National Waste Strategy for Scotland
The National Waste Strategy for Scotland was debated in the Scottish Parliament on 17 November 2005 The specific extract of the afternoon’s proceedings can also be accessed by clicking here. The benefits of Advanced Thermal Treatment were extolled by several speakers.
The company also notes the opening remarks made by Mr Ross Finnie and believes that the strategy being outlined by Mr Finnie is flawed. The particular paragraphs are highlighted in yellow. We will be writing to Mr Finnie on these matters and the letter will be posted here. We regret that no MSP saw fit to challenge Mr Finnie on his strategy which we believe is counter to encouraging local solutions and will preclude the involvement of SME’s. We also challenge the presumption in favour of compost as the preferred route for green waste. |
